Retail Inventory, Entry Level, $10-12/hr

We are currently seeking an Inventory Audit Specialist with superb customer service skills to take inventory in a retail environment (convenience stores). The Inventory Audit Specialist travels daily to stores within the area to conduct physical inventories of the stores’ merchandise utilizing a hand held calculator and/or scanner. About half of our audits are performed with one auditor working alone and the rest are conducted with a team of two or three auditors.

Inventory Audit Specialist Duties:

  • Arrive at store at scheduled time, greet Store Manager and provide them with overview of inventory process
  • Collect information from Store Manager necessary to conduct audit
  • Count all merchandise utilizing inventory equipment-process involves bending, lifting and exposure to hot and cold environments (i.e. stock rooms and coolers).
  • Effectively communicate results of audit to Store Manager and provide reports at conclusion of audit
  • Inform Supervisor or Division Manager of any problems and concerns
  • At all times, display the highest degree of dedication to customer service

Job Requirements: 
Our Inventory Audit Specialists are expected to effectively perform their duties with little or no supervision. Consequently, we are seeking candidates that are self-directed, motivated and able to achieve results autonomously.
Additional Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Prefer 1 year inventory auditing experience or 1 year of retail, restaurant, food service, grocery or convenience store experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong arithmetic skills with attention to detail
  • Positive team attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical aspects of the position
  • Must have a valid driver license, current liability car insurance and reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the area.
